Clients/Patients screen The CLIENTS and PATIENTS screen
The CLIENTS/PATIENTS screen is the best place to start the tour because so many tasks begin with the selection of a patient.  The picture above shows the client grid (top grid containing client information) in focus and, therefore, the client related buttons to the right of the grid enabled.  The cluster of patient buttons (just above the lower patient grid) are disabled, therefore gray text, because focus is not on the patient grid.  Focus can be moved to the patient grid simply by clicking the grid or by pressing the tab key on the keyboard.  The same is true for the small reminder grid just above the photo.

When the client grid is in focus, a specific client can be selected by typing his or her name.  The selection advances with each keystroke as fast as the name is typed.  Of course scrolling or paging can be done using the proper keyboard keys.  As fast as focus moves to a different client, that client's patients are listed in the patient grid.

When a client is selected, focus is moved to the patient grid and the proper patient can be selected by scrolling or typing it's name if the client has multiple patients.  As focus moves to a different patient, the patient's reminders immediately display in the reminder grid, and it's photo is displayed.

Some CLIENT RELATED TASKS which can be initiated by this screen can be seen by clicking one of the following options:
●  Adding a new client or editing the data for an existing client (F2 - Add Client or F3 - Edit Client buttons)
●  The F4 - ACCOUNT button opens a screen from which the selected client's account can be reviewed or managed
●  The F5 - CLI/PAT SHT prints out a form for a new client to fill out.  It is from this form that the receptionist can enter the new client's and new patient's into the computer.
●  The F6 - DO ESTIMATE button opens a screen from which an estimate for service and/or products can be prepared for the client to consider.  This estimate is automatically filled for easy retrieval should the client decide to have the work done.
●  The F7 - ESTIMATES button opens a screen listing all estimates on file for the selected client.  Should the client wish to accept a specific estimate, it can be converted to an invoice with one button.
●  Patients which have not received service for a user defined period of time may be automatically archived.  These patients will not normally be displayed in the patient grid.  The F8 - ARCHVD PETS button displays these archived patients.  An archived patient can be retrieved back to active status in seconds.
●  The F9 - CLIENT LABEL button prints a label of client information that can be used for various purposes.
●  The F10 - REFUND button opens a screen from which a refund can be made to the selected client.
●  The F11 - APPTS button opens a window displaying any appointments previously made for patients of this client.
●  The PHONE LIST button opens a list of phone numbers and other information important to the clinic.
●  The F12 - TO HOSPITAL button opens a screen displaying a list of all patients who have been logged in for service (THIS WILL BE THE THIRD SCREEN ON THE TOUR).
●  A client record displayed in the client grid can be COLOR CODED with clinic defined color codes by double clicking the client to be coded.
●  An ALERT MESSAGE can be applied to a specific client by DOUBLE CLICKING ON THE CELL in the ALT COLUM for that client in the client grid.
●  A context menu can be opened by RIGHT CLICKING on a specific client in the client grid.
