The tasks to be updated and monitored until completed are listed in the
large grid on the left of the screen. The information in the grid
for each task includes the DATE, NAME OF THE TASK, and the STAFF MEMBER
ASSIGNED. The unfinished tasks will be shown with red background,
and the completed tasks will be shown in green. The top text box
on the right contains task instruction, generally supplied by the person
assigning the task, and the bottom text box contains notes, generally
provided by the person to whom the task is assigned and related to
performing the task. The information in both of these latter two
boxes can be maintained by either typing or by use of
AutoText. The DISPLAY
buttons at the upper right permits showing ACTIVE tasks only, COMPLETED
tasks only, and ACTIVE AND COMPLETE tasks.
The button cluster at the top of the screen initiates the following
tasks:
● The ADD TASK button opens a data entry
window where the date and time are entered, the task is named, the task
is assigned from a staff pick list, and instructions and notes (if any)
are entered.
● The EDIT TASK button opens the same data entry window as does
the ADD TASK button, but with the data available for editing.
● The ASSIGN TASK button permits reassigning the task from a staff
pick list.
● The COMPLETE TASK button changes the task status to complete,
and the line item color from red to green.
● The REACTIVATE TASK button reopens a task formerly designated as
complete. The color is changed back to red.
